The 70s revival of the J-55 offered up some adaptions to the classic round shoulder design of the 30s, to set it apart from the other acoustics in the Gibson family both visually and tonally. This x-braced, square shouldered bruiser is a real triumph of the Norlin era. The solid Spruce top paired with the laminate arched Mahogany back and Mahogany sides offers up a mid-range focused and articulate tonality with a bucket load of power and projection. Great for finger style or big open chords, it'll be just as at home in a studio or on a stage. Its in great condition for its age, with some signs of playwear from its 45 years but nothing more than cosmetic.
