This is a very early Ibanez non-reverse Thunderbird Bass copy. This is late 1960's or early 1970's when Ibanez was distancing itself from the other inferior Japanese brands. This is pre Gibson lawsuit era & Very few made in this body style. Unlike the Gibson's it is copied from it is a short scale bass (30" scale). When i got this it was moded but no routing or anything altering the the wood. The guy put new parts in it but saved all the original parts except the lead pickup surround & the pots. The guy had a new pickups surround & new pickguard but the original pickguard is included (see photos) The bridge cover is also missing. The tuners, knobs, bridge & pickups are the original ones. One knob is cracked & glued. The front & back appear clean but the edges have a lot of nick & missing finish which is why I choose good instead of very good. It is structurally sound & is a historically important instrument for the Ibanez collector. It plays & sounds very nice the neck & fretboard are clean with limited fret wear. Comes in a gator hard case.
