[Features and Appeal]
The Alexander 103, a long-standing standard in full double horns, continues to be loved by players worldwide. Since its introduction in 1909, without significantly changing its basic design, it has remained a top-tier instrument, reflecting the materials and manufacturing precision of each era. This particular instrument is a 1986 103ML. It is from the era when the Alexander 103 was in the hands of top players around the world, establishing its firm position as the "world standard for full double horns." Unlike the lightness and ease of handling of current models, it boasts the characteristic thick brass feel and moderate resistance of Alexander 103s from that era. It firmly receives the breath and responds with a brilliant and powerful sound.

Furthermore, this instrument features a one-piece bell design, rather than the currently mainstream bell-cut design. The sound connects naturally from the bell to the body, resulting in a smooth tone from attack to sustain. The bright tone characteristic of the yellow brass bell, combined with the core resonance unique to 1980s Alexanders, creates a presence that transcends the simple label of "classic." This is highly recommended for those who want to fully appreciate the charm of the Alexander 103, along with the unified feel of a one-piece bell and the distinctive character of its era.
