Extremely rare Slingerland DuALL Radio Model from 1933. Made only for one year this is an early example with “patent applied for “ on the throw off handle.

This was intended to compete with Ludwig‘s Super Ludwig parallel mechanism.

Ludwig sued Slingerland, and the court found in favor of them for copyright infringement.

Slingerland had to discontinue the model.

This particular drum was sold to me through Drugans, and it is an excellent players collectible.

Hardware in very good condition. A few age related things here and there, but overall really nice. Wrap is tight albeit lifting a bit at the seam, but no big deal.

I believe the snares are original or at least from the era. Most importantly, the Tone flange is installed increasing the rarity of this drum!

Calf head on the batter, Attack on the resonant.

The heating coil has been removed and screws installed in its place.

Solid shell construction.

Super hard to part with this, but for the right price I will, and the new owner will love the sound and own an important piece of drum history.
