With its NOS Red Sparkle finish, double black binding, and matching pickguard, this Telecaster Custom has a personality all its own. Elegant yet unmistakably Fender, it captures the spirit of the late fifties while offering the playability of a modern Custom Shop build.
By the end of the 1950s, the Telecaster had already established itself as Fender’s ultimate workhorse. For players who wanted the same versatility but with a more refined appearance, the Telecaster Custom arrived in 1959. It was the first Tele to feature a double-bound body and a rosewood fingerboard, adding a new touch of sophistication to its rugged design.
This Custom Shop model carries on that legacy with a flamed maple neck and fingerboard, a 9.5-inch radius, and a comfortable U-shaped profile that makes it a joy to play. The classic Telecaster pickups deliver everything from sparkling twang to punchy, bell-like tones, ensuring it sounds just as bold as it looks.
This 2003 model has been looked after with great care, showing hardly any signs of wear. For a 22-year-old guitar, it remains in excellent condition.
Includes hardshell case and certificate of authenticity.
