The M9A is a beautifully engineered post-war microphone that sits between domestic and professional worlds — compact, understated, and far more capable than its appearance suggests in first glance.

Often mistaken for a simple desk mic, and sometimes misunderstood and sold for less than 10 euro , the M9A reveals itself immediately to a closer look with a fine mesh, golden logo and backplate , and very good cable that set it apart from the TD OR D9 microphones it resembles

But especially when listened to-

quiet, and full-bodied, with a natural authority that clearly separates it from typical consumer microphones of the era.

Originally fitted with a European DIN / Tuchel connector, this example has been converted to balanced XLR for direct use with modern studio equipment.


CONDITION

Very good – excellent vintage condition.
The housing shows only light cosmetic marks consistent with careful use and age.
The grille is clean and straight, all markings remain clear and legible, and the mechanical M–T switch operates smoothly.
Both outputs (DIN on the body and fixed XLR cable) function correctly.
