Telecaster/Sunburst Nitro/Alder on Ash Back/Seymour Duncan Quarter Pound's

TThe 3 Tone Sunburst body is chambered with 2 piece North American Alder on the back, and Ash on top. The body is bound on both sides and finished with nitro laquer and the control cavity is coated with magnetic shielding paint and grounded.

The 21 Fret bound neck is CNC machined Canadian Maple with block inlays and has figured flame on fretboard, a 2-way truss rod, vintage style tuners, Fender neck plate and screws, 1 piece string tree and a bone nut. The neck specification is nut width: 42mm, fretboard radius: 9.5" Dia., depth at 1rst: 0.83" Depth at 12th: 0.96". The back midline is Indian rosewood, and the finish is in matte urethane.

The control plate is a Fender American Standard with upgrades and includes Modern wiring w/stock CTS 250K solid shaft volume pot, 3-way switch, dome knobs, barrel switch tip, grounding post and Switchcraft 1/4" output jack. Upgrades beyond the stock American Standard specs include removal of the no-load tone pot for a normal CTS 250k solid shaft audio tone pot like the volume, a treble bleed circuit (reduces treble/high frequencies without muddying the sound with excessive bass when the tone knob is rolled off) added to the volume pot (1/4w 150k resistor and .001uf cap in parallel), Orange Drop .022uf tone cap and all of the wiring upgraded to vintage cloth push back wire.

The pickups are Seymour Duncan Quarter Pounders, with an STR-3 in the neck, and STL-3 in the bridge. The actual installed resistance measured at the output jack is: 11.32k in the neck, 6.82k in the middle position, and 16.04k in the bridge. The bridge plate is a Fender American vintage with 3 brass barrel saddles.

The Seymour Duncan p/u's are a thick, powerful, P90-like sound with a strong midrange growl and a fat, rich tone, providing an almost humbucker-like feel. The custom-wound coils and 1/4-inch diameter alnico 5 magnets deliver high output for leads that jump out and chords that are full and fat. They offer a high-output, powerful sound that cuts through a mix without being overly bright or brash.
