Luthier concert guitar, model “Syrinx”, completely handmade in the year 2024 by the Spanish luthier David Duyos, who was finalist for two times of Antonio Marín Montero guitar making competition in Granada, Spain.
Indeed, this guitar is the prototype of the premium model of David's catalog, and its version made with Rosewood and bearclaw Spruce was finalist in the Antonio Marín Montero competition, held in Granada, Spain, in the year 2024.
As for the internal bracing, the “Syrinx” model incorporates my own approach to the so-called Bouchet bar, which gives the instrument great resonance and clarity in the trebles. In this version, due to the curly maple sides and back, this clarity is further enhanced. The guitar has a balanced, powerful and well-defined sound, which with time and good use can only get better.
It presents some slight sanding marks that make its price lower than standard (see photos). These marks do not affect the structure and normal functioning of the instrument.
