Montagnana model Violin attributed to Nicholas Vasich

Montagnana model Violin attributed to Nicholas Vasich. Apparently a quartet of these where commissioned to be made by Vasich around the Baltimore, Maryland area. Vasich was born in 1891 in Bosnia. He spent some time in Russia. Was an American Violin Maker on the east coast. This is exceptional work and has had a hard life. Many repairs. I would recommend a taller carved bridge to the buyer. Big beautiful seasoned tone! Fun to play! Beautiful Varnish, incredible scroll work. Grafted scroll. It’s worthy of a full restoration. Definitely a head turner.

Much of the information on these comes from the article below on Maestronet. The family that commissioned the instruments sold them off in the 60s/70s the article states.
