Beautiful Jumbo made by Kay in the USA. The neck is straight and very comfortable. The fingerboard in Rio. A truss rod has been installed, ideal for setuo. It's a pretty powerful guitar with a ladder brace tone, it really has a voice of its own, the wood has aged well and for good reason, it's an instrument from the 40s all the same. Without a serial number, the dating of the Kay is sometimes complex, but by cross-checking the different specificities of the guitar, we can get closer to a fairly precise date: The script logo disappeared in 1947 and was then replaced by a metallic logo. Here we have a script logo. The mechanics are Kluson from the mid-1940s, the K-22 model being introduced in the catalog in 1947, I think we are dealing here with one of the very first models. It is overall in very good condition, with no cracks, and plays really well. It is supplied in a jumbo case that fits perfectly.
