This great sounding antique French violin was crafted approx. 1900 in the well-known workshops of Jérôme Thibouville-Lamy (J.T.L.) in Mirecourt; it is a well preserved instrument of the A. Salvator model and bears the A.Salvator Paris label used by J.T.L.

Mildly flamed maple was used for the back with  the violin is undamaged and offered in a beautiful condition. It has been professionally restored and produces a wonderfully centered, warm sound with much clarity. The instrument performs consistently and stable across the tonal range, with good projection.

Back length: 355mm /13.9"
Upper bout: 177mm / 6.9"
Middle bout:  110mm / 4.3"
Lower bout: 205mm / 8.1"

This violin has undergone a professional restoration. This includes:

- A new set of Pirastro strings.
- Original bridge, professionally inspected and re- placed.
- German made chin-rest.
- Original tailpiece with one fine tuner.
- Ships with original vintage violin hard-case.
