Descripción

This is a very early Yamaha guitar from the early to mid 1960’s. It pre-dates the “No. G-xxx” series of guitars and was likely made in 1963 or 1964. It has the industrial stamp which was mandated in Japan between 1963-67.

The guitar is very well built and features a spruce top and mahogany back, sides and neck. The bridge and fretboard are rosewood. It has a couple of tight top cracks and some scratches in the sides as shown in the pictures. The neck has a very slight bow to it so it would be beneficial to drop the saddle a bit to lower the action or eventually consider a neck reset. However the guitar is playable and sounds great! Comes with chipboard case in poor condition. Case has no value beyond shipping protection.
