Hello,

The Japanese market is unique in that Gibson and Fender's trademark copyrights do not apply there. Therefore, other manufacturers can use their designs, as long as they are only sold within Japan. Samick made a play for this market starting in the mid 1980s, even going so far as to create brands just for the Japanese market (Meriken, Hot Licks and Nashville), but found it difficult to compete with well-established domestic Japanese brands. By 1991, they began dwindling down their Japanese Market-specific lineup and by 1996 had condensed to a single international lineup.

This model is a copy of the Epiphone Casino (which is the one of the few Epi guitars that Samick did not build at any time, and Samick's version actually preceeded Epiphone's reissue in 1995). This guitar was produced in 1994 just prior the Epi 1995 official reissue. The guitar is absolutely all-original and still in gorgeous condition – just a few wear marks on the body. Guitar comes in good fitting nice softcase (possibly the original one, because it matches perfectly). Frets are still having almost the full resourse, so the guitar is ready to be played. There's nothing to say more – this guitar looks, feels and sounds like real Casino, and if to remember, that Samick was producing the guitars for Epiphone company, I would say IT IS A REAL CASINO.
