Custom Gibson Ripper Bass

If you are looking for a Gibson Ripper on steroids, this is for you. Sonically, it has super punchy and growly low mids that cuts through a band or mix. Great with a pick, but can also get that old school rock vibe with the tone rolled off, as can be heard in the soundcloud link. 

The Seymour Duncan custom shop Ripper pickups sound incredible. Features that are improved upon from the original ripper design include the simplified electronics layout (wired in humbucking series with volume, volume, tone), the neck through neck construction (much more stable, and more sustain), gold alloy jumbo frets (will last a lot longer than regular frets), and the gold hipshot hardware (which is far superior to the original gibson hardware). Ash body and neck, maple fretboard, ebony headstock, 34.5'' scale. It plays amazingly with low action and is currently set up with brand new DR roundwound strings. 

I am selling it because I don't use it as often as I would like to. I mostly play mellow flatwound basses these days and would rather this go to a good home than just sit around in my studio not being used. I would still hate to see it go.
