Condor hollowbody guitar made in japan 70's /80's Moss Green with Gold Hardware

For Sale is a made in Japan "Condor" full hollow body archtop guitar. Made by Tombo in the golden "made in japan" era of the 70's and 80's. There's no type number on it but shapewise it's something inbetween an L5 and an Epi emperor. Body thickness at the widest point is 9,5 cm (3 3/4 "). I'm not a wood expert but judging from the pattern and taint of the grain, my best guess is the top is a 5 ply laminate with a mahogany top and maple/mahogany layers underneath. Neck and sides could be mahogany with a rosewood fingerboard but please correct me if you have a better eye.
The colour is what makes it unique; an undefinable green, greyish and brown depending on the light that hits it. In the shade and indoors it's mossy green with greyish undertones for back and neck. In direct sunlight or a bright yellow lamplight it becomes autumn leavish-brown.. Gold hardware, very nice mother of pearl or pearloid inlaywork that also beautifully changes hue when the light hits it the right way. The finish and overall state of this guitar, considering its age is outstanding; save from a few light scratches and minor fretwear it looks like brand new. I had the tuners professionally replaced with grover rotomatics because the old ones were pretty coarse but they are included. I added some velcro on the inside of the pickuprings for anti-rattle purposes. It's strung with 010 flatwounds. Action is low, intonation perfect. It sounds good both acoustically and amplified. If you come and pick it up in person, I have a couple of tubeamps to try it out on.

Based on a quick scan on the net, shipping to countries in the EU is circa 65/100 euros including insurance, outside EU it's between 150 to 250 depending on your preferred delivery method and excluding any import surcharges. Also be aware of shipping regulations due to the new CITES rules about importing certain woods used in this guitar. In any case I suggest we find a shipper that best suits our needs. I don't accept returns on this item, if the item arrives broken due to faulty delivery it's down to the insurance so always check their policy and maximum insured value. I prefer picking up in person, so you might also want to check if any of your friends are headed for Rotterdam.
