Selling my 1930's Dobro cast aluminum lap steel, serial # A197. It is in working & playing condition, but has obviously seen a lot of use over the last 84+ years, as evidenced by the metal fingerpick scars, worn off finish in spots, and a few grooves worn in the p/up blades.
The tuners are solid and not bent or damged, and work as they should. The electronics/pickup work fine. There is some scratchiness in the pot but I will include a new pot & longer output jack I bought for it but never installed. I also made the aluminum back cover plate to replace a piece of paneling someone had for a cover.
Please check out the pictures. The binding has a few cracks, as does the fret board.
This is still a very sweet sounding steel, with the midrange honk you'd expect from this old horse shoe magnet pickup.

I have the original hard/chipboard case if the buyer wants it. I didn't bother with pictures because the case is basically falling apart from age & wear. I will gladly send it if you want though. Lap steel will be packed with care since it is a unique and rare piece of lap steel history!
