This is the full-gloss version—not the newer satin D-17. Martin Customer Service confirmed that only 966 D-17s were produced to these specifications between 2002 and 2005.
It features a full-gloss solid genuine-mahogany top, back and sides, scalloped D1 hybrid bracing, tortoise binding, gold Gotoh tuners, a 1 11/16-inch nut, and the original black Micarta fingerboard and bridge. No electronics. It has a warm, dry and woody all-mahogany Martin sound and is extremely clean and shiny for a 24-year-old guitar.
There is a visible area along the back center seam that appears to have been repaired at some point.
There is also minor cosmetic wear consistent with its age.
Last photo is the build sheet from Martin.
Will ship in a preowned hard case.
