Whether you want to "goose" your setup for extra punch or simply leave it on to improve your overall tone, the Mini Boost functions much like the well-known EP booster pedals, providing a reliable way to perk up your sound.
The Teisco Mini Boost features a gain control which can add a slight amount of grit at higher settings, a treble control to add more high end clarity and airiness, and a bias control which at higher settings boosts low end response. We assume the bias control is likely interacting with a transistor circuit, and we liked it best around noonish which is a good comprise between thin sounding and too much low end. Lastly there is a volume control to determine how much louder you want it to be.
The Teisco Min Boost is a solid sound improvement, and at $59 practically a stocking stuffer. It's another gem in Teisco's Mini Pedal lineup and highly recommended.
