About this listing
Schecter P-5 Electric Bass in Ivory
The Schecter P-5 delivers a comfortable, fast-playing experience built on a thin 'C' maple neck and 35" extended scale that rewards both aggressive attack and nuanced melodic work. This five-string instrument combines classic P-bass character with added depth across all strings, cutting through any mix with thick, punchy tone. The ivory finish and black hardware present understated elegance while the electronics and construction deliver the professional-grade reliability expected from a working bassist.
Playability & Construction
The bolt-on alder body with flat top pairs with a maple neck shaped to a thin 'C' profile, measuring 0.787" at the first fret and 0.866" at the twelfth for responsive, comfortable play across extended sessions. The 35" scale with 21 narrow X-jumbo frets and 16" rosewood fretboard radius provide the extended range and articulation five-string players demand, while pearloid offset/reverse dot inlays offer clear visual reference points in lower register work.
Tone & Electronics
The Schecter USA MonsterTone-P™ bridge pickup drives authoritative low-end and midrange presence with simple volume and tone controls fitted with metal knurled knobs for reliable operation night after night. The Graph Tech XL Ivory Tusq nut (1.771" width), Schecter high-mass bass bridge with string-through or top-load configuration, and 2-way adjustable truss rod with heel access spoke wheel contribute to solid sustain and tonal clarity across the full frequency range.
