About this listing
1970s Mosrite Joe Maphis model, manufactured in Japan by Kurokumo, one of the most respected builders licensed to produce Mosrite instruments during that era. These Kurokumo‑made Mosrites are known for their high build quality, accurate body shaping, slim fast necks, and faithful reproduction of the original Mosrite feel. The guitar shows some minor scratches and small dents from normal use, but overall it remains in very clean condition for its age. The playability is excellent—the neck is straight, the truss rod works properly, and all hardware functions as it should. The electronics are fully operational, delivering a clean output with no unwanted noise.A notable feature of this instrument is the set of Gotoh Star Tuners, known for their precision and smooth operation, adding both reliability and period‑correct character to the guitar. The weight is 8 lb 13 oz (4.0kg), which is comfortable and well‑balanced for this model. The guitar will be shipped with a General‑style case for protection.Detailed photos and a video are available. A YouTube video is also posted showing the guitar's condition up close. Please check everything carefully before making your decision.
