About this listing
Featuring a short-scale neck and compact body, this Fender Made in Japan Junior Collection Telecaster offers a unique take on the classic Telecaster design. The body is scaled down to approximately 94% of a standard Telecaster, while the scale length is shortened from the usual 25.5” to 24” (610 mm). While short-scale Stratocaster-type models are relatively common, authentic Telecaster-type guitars with a short-scale design are much less common. This model is an excellent option for a player looking for a more compact Telecaster. The 9.5” fingerboard radius, narrow-tall frets, and 22-fret layout provide a comfortable playing experience. The 42 mm nut width is not excessively narrow, so the guitar feels more natural to play than a typical mini guitar.A contoured body back, not found on a standard Telecaster, improves the fit against the player’s body. Together with the compact body, this makes the guitar particularly comfortable to hold. The guitar has seen very little use and is in excellent condition for a used instrument. The neck is straight, the frets show almost no wear, and the playability is very good.A distinctive Telecaster for a player who wants the familiar Telecaster look in a compact, comfortable, and highly manageable short-scale format.Specs– Body wood: Basswood– Neck wood: Maple– Fingerboard wood: Rosewood– Scale: Short scale– Frets: 22– Weight: 3.0 kg– Included: Soft case– Year: 2022Condition– Parts replaced: None– Damages: No noticeable scratches.
