What an uber-cool guitar?! This is a mid 1969 Les Paul Goldtop – one piece mahogany body, big fat three-piece neck. It aged with perfection, that look and feel is just right. The late 1960s Les Pauls have a very similar finish as the original 50s Goldtops, as well as a more pronounced top carving. Good weight with 4280g! It started its life as a Deluxe model but the pickups have been changed to a set of Seymour Duncan Antiquities which makes it even better. Like legendary Social Distortions Mike Ness did it after Neal Youngs guitar tech told him to pull out the Minihumbuckers and throw them in the trash can and put some P90s in because the routings are the exact same. Basically this is a 1969 Les Paul Standard with a nice pair of Duncans for 5K less. There is a repair on the headstock wing – this happens when somebody is drilling for Grovers in their basement – cause it had Grovers but the original tuners are back on. Non original strap buttons and metal output jack plate (which is a must when you play a vintage Gibson live). Original rectangle 69/70 case.
