Offered is a beautiful sounding classic Gibson "A" style mandolin. The design most closely resembles the Model A-00 and those made c.1935. A serial number could not be found. The number stamped inside in red is 237.
Just set up by our head luthier with adjustments made to the bridge, frets and plays with a clean crisp tone. Intonation is excellent. We also put on Solid Steel Core Thomastik Praezision strings. What a sound!
The condition is very good for an instrument this age. There is evidence of previous repairs including a crack in the back and a filled seam on the side (not visible in photos). Also some scratches and scuffs and discoloration on the hardware. All in all a wonderful instrument any professional would be proud to own. We are also including a Guardian hard case which is a perfect fit for the instrument.
