The Original Highway One Stratocaster

The first Highway One Stratocasters rolled off the line in 2002, and looked largely similar to Fender's American Series Stratocaster, with the exception of the Highway One's distinctive satin finish.

Big Headstocks, Big Tone

Fender's original entry-level Stratocaster got a refresh in 2006 with new pickups and the classic '70s Fender large headstock and logo.

After Highway One

Just before the close of the Highway One line in 2011, Fender introduced the American Special line of guitars and basses to fill their entry-level American made product line. These guitars feature the Highway One's no-frills design and high build quality, in new color schemes and a wider array of instruments.
