Fender helped pioneer the solid body electric mandolin back in the '50s and '60s with a four string model. This modern reissue adds double courses of strings to better replicate playing a traditional mandolin, with a vintage Villager-style headstock and a specially designed pickup. 

The Fender Mando-Strat 8 uses a gloss urethane finish over a 13.78" scale length Alder body.
