Sabian 8" HH Radia Cup Chime
The 8" HH Radia Cup Chime delivers a compact, pitched bell voice designed to add textural color to drum kits and percussion setups. Hand-hammered construction produces the unmistakable warmth that defines traditional HH Remastered cymbals, with added complexity and sonic depth across its range. Originally designed for Terry Bozzio, this chime excels as a specialized accent voice for players seeking pitched bell tones beyond conventional cymbal articulation.
Construction & Character
B20 cast bronze (80% copper, 20% tin) produces clear, pitched bell sounds with exceptional tonal definition. The HH Remastered hand-hammered finish incorporates increased hammering and complexity, delivering unmatched sonic texture that distinguishes this chime from earlier iterations. Combo finished/unfinished treatment across the surface enhances the bell's resonant qualities.
Practical Setup & Integration
The 8-inch diameter positions this chime as a compact addition to any cymbal stand configuration, fitting standard cymbal mounting hardware for seamless integration. Radia Heavy weight classification ensures focused pitch definition and projection suitable for both studio recording and live performance contexts.
