Rather than being built with a separate top, sides, and back like most ukuleles, the body of the AU starts as a solid block of wood and is routed out, so that the back and sides are a single piece of wood. They also utilize distinctive features such as a Stereo Sound Port, Elevated Comfort Armrest, and Edgeless Comfort Heel.The AUC10E Concert Ukulele comes with a spruce top and Solid Paulownia back and sides, a Purpleheart fretboard and an Okoume neck. Furthermore, it features an Ibanez Undersaddle pickup, an Ibanez AEQ-2U preamp with an onboard tuner and a Purpleheart double hole bridge.
