Up for sale is a vintage G. Miroglio & Figli classical guitar, made in Catania, Sicily (Italy). These instruments were hand-built in traditional Sicilian workshops and are well-known for their lightweight build, distinctive tone, and beautiful decorative rosette work. This particular example features the classic maple neck with walnut center strip, a characteristic design used by many Catania luthiers from the mid-20th century.
This guitar is being sold as a restoration project. Structurally the body is in decent condition, with cosmetic wear consistent with age, but it will require some repair work to be fully playable again.

⚠️ Condition Description
This guitar is being sold in the condition as seen in the pictures. It needs some restoration work such as the bridge needing to be replaced and a crack underneath it. The instrument is in overall pretty good condition, but it does have some user marks — especially on the top. The fingerboard needs a nice polish. The original brass frets do not need to be replaced in my honest opinion, but just need to be re-crowned and polished. The tuning heads are in pretty good condition as well and are fully functional. It is a nice project for someone with at least medium level restoration experience.
🔧 Restoration Notes
- Bridge must be replaced
- Small crack under bridge needs repair/cleating
- Fingerboard wear: needs cleaning and oiling
- Frets: should be leveled, re-crowned and polished
- Cosmetic scratches on body (top and back)
- Neck joint is solid and shows no separation
- Tuners work smoothly
