Here we have an awesome Kramer Pacer Custom 1 electric guitar! This American Neptune, NJ model features a slick flip flop finish and is in very good condition.
Specs include a poplar body, 3-piece maple neck, and rosewood fretboard with pearl dot inlays. It has Schaller tuners and an original Floyd Rose locking tremolo. The middle single coil is the original Seymour Duncan Alnico Pro dated 1987. The neck single coil is a correct replacement Alnico Pro from 2023. The bridge pickup is a modern DiMarzio Tone Zone. The nut is 1 5/8", the scale is 25.5" and it has about a 10" radius.
This one sports a red flip flop paint job that vacillates between a bold red, bubble gum pink and robin's egg blue pearl depending on the angle and lighting. Word on the street is that ESP milled the bodies and necks in this era, and then they were built out in NJ by Kramer. The electronics setup includes a single volume knob, an individual on/off switch for each single coil, a 3-way on/off/coil split switch for the humbucker, and a blower switch for the humbucker that bypasses everything but the volume knob.
The guitar is in very good condition for its age. Beyond the two changed pickups, the parts look correct. Most of the solder joints inside have been redone at some point or another. The frets are in good shape. There are a handful of small, faint dings over the body along with other surface scratches and scuff marks. The tip of the headstock has a tiny paint chip too. But overall no major damage or dents.
This one weighs 7lbs 10oz. The neck measures .780 to .910 at the 1st and 12th. It has a modern C feel with the hint of a flat apex down low. It rounds out and thickens just subtly as you go up the register. The guitar plays easily with a nice acoustic resonance and loads of sustain. It bends easily and feels great under the picking hand. Overall an excellent example!
Ships in the original case and includes the tremolo arm, strap locks, and an old school set of D'Addario FRXL120 9 gauge strings "Custom designed to fit Kramer guitars and other guitars equipped with a Floyd Rose tailpiece."
