1972 Fender Mustang in Competition Red finish. The neck feels super comfortable and the guitar looks and sounds awesome!What is not original:Pickups have been swapped to Lollar Special Strat pickups. To me this is a noticeable improvement over the weak original pickups. I don't have the original pickups unfortunately.Guitar has been professionally refretted with vintage-style frets.Body has some custom routing in the bridge cavity and also in the control plate cavity. I don't know what mod there has been, but it has been removed before I got the guitar myself.Control plate has a small hole due to some previous mod.One pickup selector has been replaced with a white modern one (can be seen on the latest images). Original is included. Also the current wiring is such that only the first pickup selector is used for the usual 3 pickup positions (bridge, both, neck). The second pickup selector is not used currently, so the "out-of-phase" sound is not available. You can revert to stock wiring quite easily if you prefer that.Currently guitar is equipped with a Mastery bridge but the original bridge is included. If you don't need the Mastery bridge, I can offer some discount on the price. But personally I recommend the Mastery bridge upgrade for this guitar.Comes with a repro Allparts tremolo arm.No original case, but is shipped with a hard case which you can see in the pictures.I recorded a demo video of this guitar plugged straight into a Fender Princeton Reverb amp.
