UK-based pedal company Hamstead Soundworks is back with a brand-new stompbox called the Odyssey Intergalactic Driver. Designed by Peter Hamstead, this new stompbox is an all-analog driver pedal, with high-quality voicings, EQ, and clipping options.
Controlled by the treble, bass, and volume knobs, the independent EQ circuit offers 18 decibels of boost or cut. One of the accompanying three-way X switches is an input gain multiplier that allows users to set from unity all the way up to five times the incoming signal, while another determines where the EQ is placed within the drive circuit.
The third and final three-way toggle is perhaps the most special, offering users three unique clipping modes: symmetrical, asymmetrical, or dual for smooth, amp-like drive and a wide range of touch sensitivity.
