FRAMUS tenor banjo from the second generation Dixi Series (type  6/74). Ser. No. 77709 65D (made in april 1965). The banjo is completely restored and is in very good condition. A crack in the neck was perfectly repaired by luthier Pendennis (Schoenkichen/Kiel), see fotos 14-16. Original cloudy FRAMUS head (size 11 1/8 inches), new strings and a new bridge (0.5 inch height). Slim mahagony neck with rosewood fingerboard, 19 frets plus zero fret, slight fretwear. One piece metal pot with archtop construction, nickel plated tension ring with 18 hooks and nuts, original Stratotone tailpiece with FRAMUS logo. Flat wooden resonator with light brown finish. Set up in tenor tuning (CGDA) with new strings (size 32-24-12-10 ball end), however also suitable for Irish tuning. Loud and clear sound due to the unique construction of these Dixi banjos. Does not come in a case or gig bag. Plus shipment costs (20 EUR within DE, 45 EUR within EU, 50 EUR to UK).
