About this guitar:

Pearl is a Japanese company best known for manufacturing drums, but for a brief period, they also produced guitars. This particular model is the top of the line Made in Japan model, featuring the Harmonic Lock bridge, famously used in Yamaki-made Washburns and Daion guitars of the 1980s. This unique bridge allows the saddles to be locked in place. Later Taiwan-made Pearl Export models switched to a Tune-o-Matic style bridge. An interesting detail is the Pearl logo from this era was a copy of a short-lived Gibson logo (see photos). The guitar features era-typical features, such as a brass nut and saddles, known for enhancing sustain. The body is in very good condition, showing only minor usage marks with no major dings or significant damage. The neck is straight, the fretboard and frets are in excellent shape with no noticeable wear, and the truss rod functions properly. Equipped with great-sounding Alnico pickups, this guitar delivers a moderate PAF-style output, providing a warm yet articulate tone. Of course although the set up is fine, everyone has their own preferences. just like with any guitar if your not happy with the way it is set up, it will be up to you to have it set up to your liking...
