The two congas are 11 3/4“ and 12.5” in size and 72 cm high. The weight is 12.5 and 13.5 kg.
These are rarities from the 1st generation at the beginning of the 1980s, at that time still as MP = Meinl Percussion and without badges. Solid oak staves, handmade by a craftsman from Southern Germany.
The congas have no fissures or cracks. They have been extensively treated with shellac instrument oil. This brings out the oak wood grain particularly well. Due to their age, the rings have traces of former flash rust, which has been removed. This cannot be completely removed from instruments that are almost 45 years old... this is authentic and therefore a good thing. The bottom rings have been treated with Hammerite metal protective lacquer.
The congas are fitted with unused, high quality buffalo skins from LP and sound phenomenal! In addition, LP congasavers have been attached to the fittings, which protects against cracks and does not spoil the appearance.
I will include an original skin and a skin ring for the tumba in case someone wants to mount new skins.

Die beiden Congas haben die Größen 11 3/4" und 12,5" Die Höhe beträgt 72 cm. Das Gewicht liegt bei 12.5 und 13.5 kg.
Es handelt sich um Raritäten aus der 1. Generation Anfang der 1980er Jahre, damals noch als MP = Meinl Percussion und ohne Badges. Massive Eichenholzdauben, von einem fränkischen Büttner in Handarbeit hergestellt.
Die Congas haben keine Risse oder Macken. Sie wurden aufwändig mit Schellack Instrumentenöl behandelt. Dadurch kommt die Eichenholzmaserung besonders zur Geltung. Die Ringe haben aufgrund des Alters Spuren von ehemaligem Flugrost, der entfernt wurde. So ganz bekommt man das bei knapp 45 Jahre alten Instrumenten nicht weg... das ist authentisch und deshalb gut so. Die Bodenringe wurden mit Hammerite Metallschutzlack behandelt.
Die Congas haben unbenutzte, sehr gute Büffelfelle von LP bekommen und klingen phänomenal! Außerdem wurden LP Congasaver an den Beschlägen angebracht, was vor Macken schützt und die Erscheinung nicht stört.
Ein Original-Fell und einen Fell-Ring für die Tumba lege ich dazu, falls jemand neue Felle aufziehen möchte
Versand ist möglich, es würden zwei Pakete. Abholung bevorzugt.
