This mouthpiece includes the original slide-on ligature, brass cap, and box, all in excellent playing condition with only minor cosmetic wear.
It has a large 10 (0.130) tip opening and a BBS chamber, allowing it to handle significant air flow while producing a big, punchy, and bright sound. Ideal for Big Band or rock soloing, it offers exceptional projection. The "BB" refers to the high baffle design, while the "BBS" introduces a distinct internal shape featuring a slope that transitions into the chamber. The "S" is believed to stand for "Slope" or "Special."
This is undoubtedly a rare find. There is some wear on the sides from the metal cap sliding on and off, and the bite plate shows minor wear, with the black coating thinning at one corner. Additionally, there are faint teeth marks, which are imperceptible during play and can be easily concealed with a bite patch if desired.
