For your consideration Tidewater Vintage brings to you this outstanding and original 1937 Harmony Archtop.
This guitar is a stumper! We have looked through what seems thousands of pictures and cannot find another with such a small headstock. There s nosigns of modification whatsoever and it resembles a Gibson headstock in my opinion. Quite possibly a prototype or a very short production run, if anyone has any info it would be greatly appreciated.
The last two pictures are of a 1937 Gibson L-50 archtop, they are pretty much identical!
Overall condition is Very Good showing normal wear, scratches, minor checking and chips as you would expect to see in a used-but-not-abused guitar. The frets show little wear. The pickguard may not be original as the front hole does not line up and no extra hole have been added.
This is an incredible sounding and playing guitar with low action and optimal neck relief
