Greetings, from my research and I'm not a yamaha expert this is a 8x14 rock tour custom snare in what I was told is a rarer 8 lug model. It has a light weight shell and the inner ply looks like mahogany. It also has extended snare mechanism which I'm sure I'm not using properly with the original wires that are missing a few strands. The hoops are the original aluminium power hoops. Snare is in great condition and sounds fantastic. It looks to me to be a painted shell but it could be a wrap. Serial number 088-ph-0573 made in japan on the badge. Questions please ask. no international shipping
