Morris Acoustic Dreadnought size, MV-701 model built in Japan in the 80's.

The Morris brand still exists in Japan, and is more specialized in high-end acoustic models.

This brand, during the 1970s-1980s period was one of the first factories to remake the major American brands in Japan.

Its acoustic range deserves to be better known. The quality / price ratio and its manufacture were excellent, and the good series have improved with the number of years. Their value keeps increasing. (It was worth 70,000 Yen at the time!)

This MV-701 (V = Vinguard series) is a Martin copy… and more. Excellent tones, warm, powerful, and a perfect balance! easy to play and very very pleasant sounds, the low notes are present. Impressive.. and really comparable to some Martins..
