I purchased this brand new from Moto Music,a brilliant boutique music shop in Cardiff approx six months ago…After lusting for one for a few years after having a Ric 4001 in the early eighties,I went on a quest to find the very best one I could find…I found this fabulous example after looking and playing over a dozen.To be honest,most I played,the necks were too slabby and too deep at the nut and a few with questionable quality..really wonky jack plates and badly cut nuts…no excuse on a premium product…This one however is of the new design,a bridge that works,slimmer neck and the build quality is sublime….This bass is in utterly new condition,not a single mark,surface marks or knocks..I mean it,its absolutely as new,fresh from the factory condition.With it is the Ric case with all the case candy,a shop receipt (£2800) and the shipping box.So why the early doors departure????I have a couple of Jazz basses and after 45 years of playing,the Fender necks seem like second nature and playing the Ric feels a little odd,not the basses fault by all means….its a ‘its not you,its me’ relationship…So Ive decided to let it go to someone who will not only appreciate it but actually play it too….while its still in pristine condition..Happy for you to come to look and play this bass,I live in Caswell SA3I will post this but happier for you to pick it up,I can get a shipping quote for you if you like.Please call Darran on 07710 394279 or message me through Reverb,thanks.
