About this listing
We have received a used MARTIN Road Series SC-13E. This popular model features an innovative S-shaped body and a heel-less design, allowing for stress-free playing even in the higher frets. This guitar combines the high playability of an electric guitar with the rich acoustic sound characteristic of Martin. Key specifications include a Sitka spruce top, koa veneer sides and back, a select hardwood neck, an ebony fingerboard and bridge, a slightly wider C-shaped neck profile (approx. 44.5mm), and a 645.2mm scale length. It is equipped with a Fishman MX-T pickup system, and a tuner is built into the soundhole. Regarding its condition, there are dents, scratches, tarnish on the metal parts, and signs of aging and wear consistent with its age. There is a crack on the underside of the bridge near the first string. There is a crack approximately 10 cm long on the lower center of the top. The nut and saddles have been replaced, the neck has been straightened, and the frets have been leveled. The truss rod has approximately 60 degrees of adjustment remaining in the tightening direction, so there is limited room for adjustment. The neck has a slight waviness, and there is some slight muffling on the high-string side. The frets have about 80% of their original height remaining, and the instrument is in good playing condition. String action at the 12th fret is 2.5 mm on the 6th string side and 2.0 mm on the 1st string side. Although it shows significant signs of use, this guitar is ready to play right out of the box. It comes with the original gig case.
