Here for sale we have a Martin Road Series 000E Retro Plus electro-acoustic guitar in Gloss Natural finish. Made in Mexico in 2024, this guitar features an all-solid construction comprising a Torrefied Spruce top, Mahogany back and sides, Select Hardwood neck and 20 fret Ebony fingerboard with matching bridge. The body is double bound in black , whilst the top is adorned with a multi-stripe rosette and tortoiseshell pickguard. The headstock features an East Indian Rosewood headplate, and is outfitted with a set of Grover open-geared tuning machines. A white Tusq saddle is fitted, along with a White Corian nut. A Martin E1 on-board pickup & preamp system is fitted, with controls for master volume & master tone, phase reverse & an on-board tuner. The Select Hardwood neck plays very well. Martin's PA Profile High Performance Taper feels nicely slender in the hand without being too thin; striking a perfect balance between comfort for chord playing and practicality for fingerstyle techniques and complex parts. The 000 body design is supremely comfortable in the arms, meaning that long practice sessions on the sofa are just as fatigue-free as long gigs. The Ebony fingerboard is pleasant under the fingers, providing a smooth and durable playing surface. The traditional 16" raidus is as practical for a wide array of playing styles and techniques as ever. The Martin Road Series 000E Retro Plus has a beautifully warm and rich voice, with a pleasing mellowness to its sound due to its all-solid construction. The 000 body size has long been renowned for its clear, open and uniform response across all 6 strings. Striking the perfect balance between the strong bass response and volume of the dreadnought and the intimate, balanced sound of the Parlor, the tone is well suited to both chordal and melodic playing styles. It has a rich low end with clear mids, and an unpronounced yet appealing high end. All aspects of the headstock display light signs of past use.Neck: Overall excellent condition. Light indentations are present to the rear of the neck throughout the register. This is most notable at the bass side 11th fret. The satin finish has worn to a light gloss consistent with playwear. Body: Overall excellent condition. All aspects of the body display light signs of past use.Condition of Frets:The frets demonstrate light signs of use, not affecting playability. Light flattening of the frets is apparent to the early register, improving quickly as you climb the neck. There is moderate material remaining for any future fretwork the new owner may wish to perform.Current Set Up:Truss Rod: Fully functional. Truss rod tool (5mm hex) not included.Hardware: Excellent condition. Structural: The neck angle on this instrument means that the string height is higher than usual. To lower the action further, a neck reset would be required.
