Fender Custom Shop '53 Telecaster NOS Butterscotch Blonde Tele GuitarThis is a Fender Custom Shop '53 Telecaster NOS Butterscotch Blonde Tele Guitar. This is a tele part of the 30th Anniversary Series for 2017. Celebrating 30 years of the Fender Custom Shop this guitar was only available at the NAMM show in January so I reordered it. This is a total player. For those of you looking for a lightweight tele with a chunky neck and big frets this is your guitar. It weighs in a 7.2 lbs so it wont break your back. The neck profile is the '52 U Tele profile. It Fender's second fattest neck next to the '51 U Nocaster profile. The '52 U profile has a thickness of .900" at the 1st fret and .990" at the 12th fret. For players that like fat necks this one will feel perfect. The frets on this guitar are the Jescar 6100 Jumbo Frets. With a flatter 9.5" radius you will be flying all over this fretboard. This Telecaster also features the NOS (New Old Stock) Butterscotch Blonde Nitro Finish, premium lightweight 2 piece ash body wood has great tone. The maple neck is 5/4 sawn for extra stability and is lightly tinted. The maple fingerboard also sports black dot inlays. The pickups are Handwound Fender Custom Shop Broadcaster Bridge Pickup and a Handwound Twisted Tele Neck pickup with three-way switching has the sought-after sound of yesterday with the benefits of modern wiring. The Fender guitar has vintage hardware, a black 1-ply pickguard and Original Vintage Nocaster Bridge with 3 Brass Saddles complete the dream. NOS - What's the deal???As a member of the Fender Custom Shop Time Machine Series, the offer guitars that are aged to look like they have had years of abuse. The call those Relics. Fender offers different degrees of aging with Heavy Relics, Lite Relics, Journeyman, and Closet Classic Finishes. There are many players how just don't like buying a new guitar that is beat up.
