Product:

The SC-8850 features Roland DSP technology that was newly developed in the early 2000s, delivering outstanding sound quality.

In addition to new stereo piano samples, string sections, and drum kits, the SC-8850 offers a huge selection of realistic acoustic instruments and ethnic sounds such as Indian, Indonesian, and Celtic, as well as the remarkable Roland Jazz Scat and choir sounds. Thanks to the generous 128-voice polyphony, complex orchestral arrangements with up to 64 parts are easily possible.

Features at a glance:

  • The world's first USB sound module
  • Large display with instrument symbol representations
  • Phrase Preview function
  • 1,640 sounds, 63 drum kits, and 64 insert effects
  • Fully compatible with previous Sound Canvas mappings like the SC-88Pro, SC-88, and SC-55, allowing playback of current GM, Roland GS, and even XG song files. Additionally, the SC-8850 is the first sound module to be compatible with GM Level 2.
