This pear wood alto recorder was purchased in the 80’s. It was passed down from a nun who barley used it in the early 00’s and hasn’t been used since. The Rottenburgh series, which this recorder belongs to, remains incredibly reliable and easy to play. The curved wind channel helps to stabilise the sound and the sound is warm and full (A = 440).
Both the recorder itself and the cork screws are in excellent condition even though it was crafted over 40 years ago. Everything has been disinfected and and oiled in preparation for the sale. The recorder will be sold with the original leather case, original cork grease container and original documents.
