Superb Louis Lot #5910 with sterling silver headjoint riser and lip plate. This flute was crafted in 1895 during the wonderful Barat period. It has inline G closed holes and soldered chimneys, pointed arms, a C foot and the distinctive tear-drop Eb key of early Louis Lot Barat period flutes. Traditional scale (A = 440 Hz). The flute has been fully overhauled and is re-padded. The structural state of the flute is superb, with no cracks, dents or bumps. It is in super cosmetic condition, with some wear on keys, indicating that is has been frequently played, consistent with its outstanding sounding qualities. This is an easy blowing flute delivering a rich, warm and clear sound full of even harmonics that truly conveys the poetry of Louis lot French flutes to the heart. Mechanical ergonomics are absolutely transparent and effortless. The flute comes in a protective wood case.
