Conn New Wonder 1924 Tenor Sax
Original silver plating with a beautiful honey gold washed bell, typical for these instruments.
The condition of the instrument is extraordinary.
No dents, visible repairs, etc. The plating is original, 99% intact. Slight wear at the octave key and near thumb rest As pictured.
The saxophone is fully operational, after a major overhaul at a renown shop.
The keywork works flawlessly, pads are in perfect condition. Everything seals as it should. Metal resonators.
Modified palm keys - have a glued and varnished cork to improve playability. This can, of course, be removed.
Serial number 144534 - just a few numbers away from the famous 144444 played by Lester Young.
Due to its condition, year, and serial number, we are dealing with an instrument of high collectible value.
At the same time, it is a horn that sonically is unmatched.
Balanced, in tune. Beautiful, rich sound. These instruments have a beautiful fat top range, which is not as thin as in modern saxophones.
Comes with the original case, rather of collectible than practical value.
