Every so often there is an outstanding builder who is bestowed with this honorary title, and brings a fresh perspective and a whole dose of creative ideas to the table. While this is not yet true of Steve Mather, he proves with this stunning Telecaster that this is certainly in store for him.

This Apprentice Built 60s Telecaster combines a lot of 60s features with a fresh and modern design. Dressed in Olympic White, the Alder body is lightly aged and features a Thinline pickguard and typical sixties pickup configuration, with the WideRange humbucker (with CuNiFE magnets!) really stealing the show here. The tortoise headstock and racing stripes give this Tele a particularly classy and distinct look, and is something only the Fender Custom Shop can come up with.
