Here's an Art Deco, Aero masterpiece built in 1958 by Turner Dynamic Microphones in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, USA. The body of this mic is a single solid piece of machined aircraft aluminum. She's heavy at slightly over 1 1/2 lbs. The diaphragm is about 1 3/4" (did not open the case) and the mic is appropriately bass heavy but with enough treble for vocal clarity. You could sing through this mic. Checked it with a Grace 101 but almost any pre-amp will significantly expand the tone spectrum and beef up the output to modern levels. And it is a KILLER harp mic right into an amp. At 3 1/2" long by 2 1/2" in diameter it's a hand full with a harp. The fin helps but at a pound and a half I'd go with a stand. Definitely makes the right sound just plugged in. You can tweak it to suit but you'll know what you have as soon as you play through it. No case but it comes with what might be the original (at least period correct) cable in good working and cosmetic condition. AND, a first for GuitarasaurNashville, a HAND CROCHETED WIND SCREEN! That's right boys and girls it's handmade, washable, 100% cotton, and it actually works. Also makes it easier to hold. And when you finally decide to deal with that heckler you can just take it home, wash it in cold water and a bit of bleach and it's good as new. Thanks for looking...
