This is a model from Orville?the Japanese-made Gibson brand?which has been gaining recognition in recent years among domestic Les Paul Custom-style guitars. This is a Les Paul Custom model from the Orville era, when the brand was officially licensed by Gibson. It features a classic gBlack Beautyh style with a black finish, gold hardware, multi-layer binding, and split diamond inlays. This particular instrument, manufactured by Terada Gakki, is believed to have been made around 1991, as indicated by its serial number "K019853." The "JAPAN" stamp is visible on the tuners and bridge. Its appeal lies in the meticulous woodworking precision typical of the domestic production era and the stable tone produced by its solid set-neck construction. The pickups have been replaced with a Seymour Duncan SH-1n '59 Model in the front and a Seymour Duncan SH-4 JB Model in the rear. The front pickup delivers a vintage-like, rich and sweet tone, while the rear pickup features a classic high-output design with excellent midrange projection and clarity, making it suitable for a wide range of styles from clean tones to hard rock. The pickguard is missing, and the hole remains. There is verdigris on the bridge saddles. There are chips and peeling paint in various places on the body. Additionally, there are scratches, dents, and rust on the metal parts throughout the guitar, showing signs of use. While the 6th string side of the neck is straight, the 1st string side shows slight backward bowing and twisting. The truss rod is completely loose. There are currently no issues with playability.
