About this listing
Power requirements:12VDC @ 600mA, with a center positive 2.1mm plug (power supply is included).Overview:Custom channel-switching version, with Ch.1 = Bassman (cleanish to thick drive) / Ch.2 = JTM45 (full, fat tone)The Constable Bassman/JTM45 is a dual 12AX7 channel switching preamplifier modeled on the Fender Tweed Bassman and the classic JTM45 British Plexi MarshallIt is designed to be run directly into a power amplifier or effects loop return, but may also be used in front of a regular guitar amplifier or another preamplifier.Features:Both channels share both tubes.Red light = Bassman channel. Vol and Master Aare active.Red + Green lights = JTM45 channel. Vol2 andMaster B are active. The bright switch:Left = off for both channelsMiddle = on for both channelsRight = on for Bassman and on for JTM45 also, but uses a larger size bright cap for the JTM45, giving more upper mid response. The right knob on the rear of the chassis globally controls the overall gain and low end response of the circuit. The right footswitch toggles the pedal on/off, while the left toggles between the Bassman and JTM sides. The EQ is shared between the two sides. Here is the way it works:Vol 1 and Master A are for the Bassman channel;Vol 2 and Master B are for the JTM45 channel;the "Output" switch works just the same as on the regular Constable:to the left = attenuated/front of amp;middle = attenuated preamp mode;right = un-attenuated preamp mode. There is an extra Volume control on the back. This is the bass channel or Ch2 on a Bassman or JTM45 amp. Note that this channel is always on - just turn it up to hear it/down to turn it off.
